In an article posted by The Sydney Morning Herald, Andrew Colley cited David Croyé of the startup JustWatch who claims that research indicates Google isn't doing as much as it could to combat digital piracy.
In an excellent article posted by Jonathan Bailey of Plagiarism Today, the topic of good faith consideration is covered regarding a ruling issued on the Lenz v. Universal case (often referred to as the “Dancing Baby” case).
Google says it's not enough just to disavow bad backlinks, you need to clean them up
The disavow tool provided by Google is a useful option for those that may need to limit risks inherent to outside sources linking back to your website. However, while that's one important option, Google is very clear that you should make every effort to clean up bad and unnatural links pointing to your site.
Part Three: How The Site Blocking Happens
With the new Australian site blocking law in effect, the question turns to how will it be applied. We are raising the bar across the internet, returning integrity to authorship and journalism online.
